Gingivitis and periodontal disease often occur because of improper dental hygiene and a lack of professional dental cleaning, 2 times per year. A large number of patients don’t realise the urgency that periodontitis must be treated with, ignoring it for many years, and seeing a dentist much too late, when the only solution is dental extraction and implants.
The main factor in periodontal disease is bacterial plaque that leads to plaque formation and the gradual destruction of tooth supporting tissues, ligaments and alveolar bone.
At Neoclinique, our team of specialists in periodontal treatment can help stop periodontal disease by modern, minimally invasive surgeries. We recommend a control as soon as you notice bleeding gums while brushing.
This periodontal disease progresses rapidly at the base of the tooth without pain, and you will notice it only when it’s in an advanced stage, when teeth become mobile and dental extraction is imminent.
The clinic is equipped with STA (Single Tooth Anaesthesia), an assisted anaesthesia computerised system for increased patient comfort.

Periodontitis treatment is a routine surgery (curettage), accompanied by other procedures to remove plaque such as "Full Mouth Disinfection" and "Antiseptic Pocket Treatment”. The procedure lasts between 1 and 2 hours, depending on the number of teeth treated.
Generally, periodontitis occurs on a group of 4-6 teeth, which is why the curettage operation is per arcade, meaning half arch ,which has between 7 and 8 teeth.
Give your teeth a chance and schedule your dentist appointment to measure the exact size of the periodontal pockets. A periodontitis diagnosis is done through a panoramic X-ray and by inspecting the teeth-supporting tissue with surgical instruments which measure the depth it enters at the base of the tooth. The greater the depth (over 5 mm), the more advanced the periodontal disease is and treatment is needed right away.
It is best to prevent periodontitis and to have 2 check-ups / year as well as a deep cleaning.
